If you want to keep your bike in good condition, lawyers suggest motorcycle on a regular schedule of inspections, modifications and repairs. To get ready for the road and avoid unnecessary damage, just follow the instructions below.

When you refuel

* Check your tires every 250 miles or every time you ride your bike to refuel. Keep a tire pressure gauge in hand to control the air in your tires. Examine the tread. If you notice any cracks, pitting, uneven wear or bumps, it’s time to buy new tires.
* Grease the bicycle chain. The use of a spray generously cover chain side chain contacts the sprocket. Be sure to cover both sides of the chain.

Every three to six months

* Battery test and make sure it is fully charged. Then check the connections and the level of liquid in each chamber. If low, top with distilled water or demineralized water. Remember: Do not use tap water to fill the battery compartment. The minerals in tap water can damage the battery.
* Check the oil and oil filter. The oil must reach the “high” or “Max” mark. To check the oil, make sure your bike is level and centered position.

Annually

* Inspect brake pad thickness at least once a year. Your brake pads have slots in the middle. If the grooves are very shallow, or if the pads are flat, it’s time for new pads. However, if the grooves are a few millimeters in depth, which should not be replaced.
* Change the brake fluid. Brake fluid can absorb moisture over time, so use a new bottle, unopened.
* Check the fuel filter. If you have accumulated dirt and debris, replace it.
* Inspect fuel lines and electrical son. Replace all lines or son who corrosion, rust, cracks or other damage.

It is easy to forget or postpone routine maintenance work to integrate these controls in their normal driving habits. Use this list when you do a wash and wax, or when you store your bike in the season. These measures can help ensure that you and your bike will be many safe trips, exciting in the future.

IMPROVISED PAINT BOOTH
If you’re like me, can not afford a booth at the project in his studio. That’s what I did. Clean a closet that is attached to the back of my shop. I lined the white walls of polyethylene, and placed a variable speed fan in the window. I was walking with a roll of tape and seal the perimeter of the fan to the cops close in the walls. Now on the lights. After the first time you try to paint something, you quickly learn how good lighting is essential. In fact, when I talked about the lighting, the brightest in their field of painting, the better. A friend gave me two to four fluorescent tubes, which hang on both sides of my new paint booth. It is good to have reflective walls. Lining the walls white poly not only saves your walls, but also very thoughtful.

SAFETY
Before continuing, I want to stress safety. It is a very bad idea that painting in a room that is attached to your home. In fact, it may be illegal in some jurisdictions. In addition, the paint fumes are not only super toxic, they are highly flammable. Make sure your devices are connected correctly and that its facilities are fully enclosed with the cap. Last but not least, make sure you have a good quality respirator with filters for type of paint you use.

INDUSTRIAL EQUIPMENT
For tools you’ll need at least two guns, an air regulator with water trap, a compressor, and of course air hoses. As mentioned earlier, you have two guns, paint … a primer and a base for paint and varnish.

Preparation for painting
Be sure fuel tanks and oil are pressure tested and leak before proceeding. Ideally, it’s good for blasting metal parts, especially if you have old paint on them. If you choose not to sand, be sure to sand well, then wipe with a soft non-core oil before starting work.

The next step is to apply a fill to low spots and problems. It is a matter of personal preference, but I like to sprinkle a layer of epoxy primer before spraying the base coat. This provides a good basis for filling. Prepare your stuffing in small quantities (it sets up fast) and apply smoothly and evenly on your part.

After the load is dry, sand smooth with 80 grit and obtain the return of a small or token, then fill with sand and more. After the towers needed filling and sanding done, it’s time to start.

Spray one or two coats of epoxy paint. After the primer is dry, get a bomb of black paint and spray it lightly on your hand. This is the guide layer. The black coat is light waves, the low points or defects in their work practices. To repair the problem areas that the layer above guide, you want to use putty instead of filling with fluid. Apply the putty in thin, smooth, even and smooth with 80 grit sandpaper (wrapped around a rubber sanding block). Once you get the high points down, smooth down more than 120 grit, then finishing with 400 grit. Now you’re ready for the final round of the primer. Once the primer is dry, sand thoroughly with 400 grit to get a toothy surface of the base layer to keep. I like to spray on a layer of epoxy, just before spraying the base color layer. In addition to providing an ideal surface for applying the base color, but also prevents the down from the mixture bubbles and blowing through the clearcoat. Be sure to follow the leaf paint manufacturer’s specifications regarding the mixing time, mixing relations and the temperature of the paint. Failure to follow these instructions will result in much pain … believe me.

BASE COAT/CLEAR COAT
Now comes the color layer. Define the layers of color on the data sheet of the paint manufacturer. Then comes the light. After the first round of the course is dry, wet sand with 600 grit. You will notice the ridges appear as plain sand. Keep sanding until the white is even and the edges are gone. If you paint the graphics, the time has come to put on. After application of graphics, cover with another round of classes. It may take one or more series from transparent to completely bury the graphics. Be sure to wet sand flat with 600 grit between the series of courses. After the last round specific has been applied, sand flat with 600 grit as before. When things go well end 1500 and smooth grain. If you want to get even more silky, go to a final round of 2000 grains.

POLISHING
Now comes the part rewarding. The final step is to polish to a mirror finish. You’ll need a variable speed polisher, polishing, and some polish. There are many types of polishes available. Your local automotive supply will be able to recommend a good year.
